I am a visual artist with a love for process, which generally starts with a curiosity. Curiosity for a medium, a place, forms, colors, patterns or concepts I wish to better understand.
I am fascinated by the human mind, emotions, behaviors, comforts and discomforts as well as external factors that influence how we develop and interact in our everyday lives. I love studying surroundings and the impact they have on our individual stories and memories. I find myself constantly conversing with my existential self - because of this I often become rooted in the inevitably of lost time and mortality and its inescapable forces.
My process represents the intimacy between myself and my experiences. I become highly involved and sometimes obsessed over the idea of connecting and reconnecting with my past. My artwork depicts memories captured in time and translates in a way that allows me to see things in more ways than one.
All these things and more can represent me as an artist - but sometimes, and often, its really just an urge to create- with no explanation, no reason, just as a way to ground myself. Inviting me to strengthen the inner relationship between my mind, body and spirit.
